How is Young Pumpkin used in Thai cooking?

Young pumpkin - fak on, baby pumpkin - is harvested small, around baseball or softball size, while the skin is still soft and the seeds inside haven't yet developed, sometimes with the flower still attached. At this stage the whole thing is tender and quick-cooking, so it goes into stir-fries where it stays firm and lightly sweet, no peeling needed. It's a lovely example of eating a vegetable young, before it matures into the dense, sweet orange pumpkin used for curries and custards.
